Michigan’s Judson Center To Close Adult DD Group Homes Due To State Funding Cuts

Michigan-based Judson Center is in the process of closing its five group homes that serve 29 adults with developmental disabilities (DD) due to state funding cuts. The cuts affected funding to the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority (OCCMHA) and its contractor Macomb Oakland Regional Center (MORC).

After being notified about the pending funding cut for services provided under the MORC contract starting October 1, 2014, Judson Center decided to close its group home and respite services for DD consumers served by OCCMHA.
