Florida Requires Recovery Residence Certification For Referrals From State-Licensed Behavioral Health Provider Organizations

As of July 1, 2016, recovery residence provider organizations must be certified in order to receive referrals from behavioral health provider organizations licensed by the Florida the Department of Children & Families (DCF). However, gaining the certification is voluntary, and only relevant to referrals from DCF-licensed behavioral health provider organizations not a business requirement for recovery residence provider organizations.
