Kansas DCF Awards $11.5 Million For Projects To Reduce Intergenerational Poverty
The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is launching 2Gen Kansas, an $11.5 million project to reduce intergenerational poverty on July 1, 2024. The projects will use strategies to stabilize and empower low-income families. DCF is working with Ascend at the Aspen Institute to implement this new approach which will support children and their families (parents or caregivers) as a unit.
