Kansas To Consolidate & Expand Responsibilities Of Aging & Disability Resource Centers
The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) is consolidating the number of Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRCs) regions, from 11 down to 4, and expanding ARDC services. The ADRCs will continue to provide assessments for Medicaid waiver long-term services and supports (LTSS) for the state’s frail/elderly, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and physical disability waivers. KDADS intends to contract with ADRCs to perform more types of waiver eligibility assessments, including for the intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) waiver.
