Kansas Medicaid Requests $200 Million To Shorten Wait For HCBS Waiver Services In 2018 & 2019
On November 8, 2017, the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) requested an additional $200 million in state funds to reduce wait times for Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) for beneficiaries with disabilities. For the fiscal year that runs from July 2018 through June 2019, KDADS requested $90 million in state general funds to reduce HCBS wait times, and requested another $110 million in non-general state funds to reduce the length of the HBCS wait list.
