Kansas Releases KanCare 2.0 Draft Waiver & RFP For Contracts To Start January 2019

On November 2, 2017, the Kansas Medicaid program released a request for proposals (RFP EVT0005464) for its next Medicaid managed care contracts, called KanCare 2.0. The state released a draft KanCare 2.0 waiver renewal for public comment on October 27. Responses to the RFP are due by January 5, 2018, and contract awards announcements are slated for June 2018. The state intends to negotiate with three or four managed care organizations (MCOs) for contracts that will start January 1, 2019.
