ResCare’s Management Services Contract For Kentucky’s Outwood ICF/ID Renewed

On August 29, 2014, the Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental, and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) awarded ResCare, Inc. a one-year contract valued at $11 million to manage and operate the state’s 80-bed Outwood intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/ID). ResCare was the incumbent to this contract. It has been managing the Outwood ICF/ID since 1983. The contract runs through June 30, 2015. ResCare will provide staffing and operations management for the facility.
