Kentucky Submits Medicaid Waiver Renewal Requests For Community First Choice LTSS

In April 2015, the Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services (CHFS) submitted waiver renewal requests for Medicaid long-term services and supports (LTSS) through the home- and community-based services (HCBS) waiver and for the Supports for Community Living (SCL) waiver. Both waiver renewal requests extend the current waiver programs, but include changes to comply with federal requirements for delivering the services as Community First Choice. The current HCBS waiver expires on July 1, 2015, and the SCL waiver expires on August 31, 2015.
