Kentucky Medicaid Managed Care Contracts Rebid With New Behavioral Health Provisions

Kentucky Medicaid is rebidding its Medicaid managed care contracts in a three-week procurement with changes to the provision of behavioral health benefits. The existing contracts with Anthem, Aetna (Coventry Cares), Humana (CareSource), Passport, and WellCare expire on June 30, 2015. The Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services (CHFS) released the request for proposals on April 13, 2015, with responses due by May 5, 2015. The initial one-year contracts will be followed by four one-year renewal options, ending on June 30, 2020.
