Los Angeles County DMH Ends Grant-Funded Mental Health Outreach Triage Team Program, Moves Program Functions To Mobile Crisis Response Teams
The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) recently ended its contracted Outreach Triage Team and Child Outreach Triage Team (OTT/COTT) programs that were funded by a grant through the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) and has returned $15 million in unspent funding back to the state. The program functions have been taken over by the DMH’s directly operated Psychiatric Mobile Response Team (PMRTs) and contracted Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams (MCOTs).
