Los Angeles Juvenile Justice System Critical Incidents Investigation Launched

The Los Angeles County juvenile justice system is under scrutiny again; this time the county Board of Supervisors launched an investigation into critical incidents involving recent abuse allegations. On August 2, 2016, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors adopted a motion to investigate the county juvenile justice system to develop protocols for dealing with abuse at juvenile halls and other critical incidents. The investigation will seek to identify long-term trends in the number of critical incidents.
