Louisiana Department Of Health And Hospitals Cut ABA Medicaid Rates By 20%

On January 1, 2017, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) cut Medicaid reimbursement rates for applied behavioral analysis (ABA) by more than 20%. According to a memo to ABA provider organizations, the new rates are based on the average commercial rate for these services across the state. The state Medicaid program also adopted new temporary ABA Current and Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes.
