Magellan Behavioral Health To Cover BioCare Recovery Addiction Treatment Program In Greater Philadelphia Area

On December 9, 2015, BioCare Recovery announced it had contracted with Magellan Behavioral Health to provide its outpatient addiction treatment program for Magellan commercial plan members in the greater Philadelphia area. Magellan provides behavioral health administration for members covered under various health plan contracts in the Philadelphia area.

BioCare Recovery’s program includes outpatient detoxification for alcohol, opioid and other drugs; medication-assisted treatment; and evidence-based individual, family and group psychosocial counseling with counselors, physicians, and peer support specialists. In addition to this new contract with Magellan, BioCare Recovery has a contract with Optum Behavioral Health, which began in . . .
