Maine Education Department Proposing Child Development Program Changes To Address Disabilities
The Maine Department of Education (DOE) is proposing changes to the state's current Child Development Services (CDS) program. The goal of the changes is to transform the current model to better address the needs of preschool-aged children with disabilities. The changes affect funding, facilities, staffing, and regionalization.
These changes were outlined in the December, 28, 2017 "Maine Child Development Services Part B 619 Transition Committee Recommendations To The Department Of Education."
