Maryland To Consolidate Medicaid NEMT Broker Services At State Level, Issues RFP
The Maryland Department of Health (DOH) is procuring a single, statewide broker for Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for a contract to start in February 2023. Currently, NEMT services are managed separately by the state’s 24 local jurisdictions, so there is no incumbent statewide broker. The DOH released the request for proposals (RFP) on September 2, 2022. Proposals are due by November 1, 2022. The contract will have an initial three-year term, followed by two optional two-year extensions.
