Massachusetts Granted Five-Year Medicaid 1115 Waiver To Develop Global Payment Models
On October 31, 2014, the Massachusetts Medicaid program announced that its 1115 waiver with provisions to support global payment models had been approved by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The five-year waiver authorizes the MassHealth managed care program and describes allowable expenditures for the next three years under the Safety-Net Care Pool (SNCP).
