Massachusetts Implements Roadmap For Behavioral Health Reform, Announces Opening Of Community Behavioral Health Centers & Behavioral Health Help Line
On January 3, 2023, Massachusetts implemented its Roadmap for Behavioral Health Reform by opening new behavioral health centers, launching new crisis services, and creating a centralized behavioral health help line able to accept calls 24/7. The goal is to increase access to mental health and addiction treatment services across the state. The new approach includes 25 new Community Behavioral Health Centers (CBHCs) and new 24/7 mobile community-based crisis intervention and stabilization services.
