Massachusetts To Cover Selected Pre-Release Services For Incarcerated Juveniles
The Massachusetts Medicaid program will cover selected services for incarcerated juveniles during the 30 days before release. The plans were noted in an amendment to the state’s MassHealth 1115 waiver which received federal approval on December 9, 2024. The amendment was approved through December 31, 2027.
Through the amendment, the state will pay for the following:
Certain screening, diagnostic, and targeted case management services for eligible juveniles in the 30 days prior to release from a public institution
Certain screening, diagnostic, referral, and case management services for targeted low-income children in the 30 days prior to release from . . .
