Medicaid & CHIP Enrollment Up 7.2% As Of July 2022

From July 2021 to July 2022 (fiscal year 2021), enrollment in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) increased by 7.2%. This is on top of a 10.4% increase in Medicaid and CHIP enrollment from July 2020 to July 2021. Total Medicaid spending was $752.8 billion in fiscal year 2021, and spending for CHIP was $21.2 billion.
