Medicaid Disenrollment Rates For Those With SSI Are Higher For Children With Disabilities Than For Working Age Adults
In 2018, Medicaid disenrollment rates for those with Supplemental Security Income (SSI) related Medicaid eligibility were higher for children than for working age adults. Among those whose Medicaid eligibility is related to disability, many qualify because they receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. About 11% of children with SSI-related eligibility disenrolled in 2018, compared to about 10% of working-age adults with SSI-related eligibility.
