Medicaid Renewal Hold Times Average 55 Minutes In California
In 44 California counties, Medi-Cal (the state’s Medicaid program) members who used the county’s automated telephone system to renew the coverage waited on hold for an average of 55 minutes. Average hold times were about the same for all languages, at 50 minutes for Spanish, 56 minutes for English, and 61 minutes for other languages.
