Medicare Approves Additional Reimbursement For Home Dialysis Delivered With The Tablo System
On November 1, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved additional reimbursement for home dialysis treatments delivered using the Tablo® Hemodialysis System (Tablo). The additional reimbursement is through the Medicare Transitional Add-on Payment Adjustment for New and Innovative Equipment and Supplies (TPNIES) program. According to CMS, the additional reimbursement is intended to encourage health care professionals and provider organizations to adopt new technology that allows consumers to dialyze at home.
