In 2018, surveyed U.S. Medicare beneficiaries with poor self-rated mental health (SRMH) were less likely to have made a routine care appointment in the last six months than beneficiaries with excellent SRMH. Furthermore, there was a direct correlation between SRMH rating and rate of those who had a routine care appointment in the past six months:
