Medicare Proposes Expanded Telehealth Coverage For 2015

In the proposed 2015 physician fee schedule, Medicare expanded the number of services that can be delivered via telehealth. The additions include annual wellness visits, psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and prolonged evaluation and management services. These remote services to be added are considered physicians' services in the same way as services that are furnished in-person without the use of telecommunications technology; they are paid under the same conditions as in-person physicians' services.
