18 Organizations Launch Public Education Campaign To Permanently Protect Access To Telehealth Services
On December 2, 2021, 18 organizations launched a public education campaign to permanently protect the expanded access to telehealth that has been available through flexibilities granted during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency (PHE) that began in late January 2020. The Telehealth Access for America campaign advocates for permanently expanded access to telehealth because the technology has the ability to promote better consumer health outcomes by removing barriers to timely care, promote health equity, improve consumer quality of life through adherence to treatment plans, and empower consumers to be more engaged in their treatment plans.
