On January 27, 2014, chronic care management solutions developed by Sense Health and Wellframe were selected as finalists in a health data innovation challenge sponsored jointly by Merck & Co, Inc., a global pharmaceutical company, and the Heritage Provider Network, Inc. (HPN), a Medicare Pioneer accountable care organization (ACO). Both finalists received $20,000 to launch pilot programs in February 2014 to test their solutions. In May 2014, the winner will be selected and awarded $100,000.
