The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has indefinitely delayed plans to pilot a single behavioral health prepaid inpatient health plan (PIHP) to manage specialty behavioral health services for Medicaid beneficiaries enrolled in fee-for-service (FFS) who reside in the integration pilot areas. The integration pilot is a separate initiative by the state to integrate physical and behavioral health for individuals enrolled in Medicaid managed care. The pilots span multiple regions and individuals are served by more than one PIHP.
