Michigan Rebids Behavioral Prepaid Inpatient Health Plan Services
On August 5, 2025, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) released a request for proposals (RFP) to rebid its Medicaid specialty behavioral health prepaid inpatient health plans (PIHPs). This is the first time the state has issued a competitive procurement for the PIHP contracts. Proposals are due by September 29, 2025. The contracts are expected to begin on October 1, 2026.;
