Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Task Force Considering Two Psychiatric Hospital Management Proposals

The Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division (BHD) is evaluating two organizations who are interested in submitting proposals to partner with BHD to provide behavioral health care for its 60-bed acute care mental health inpatient hospital. The organizations are Universal Health Services and the Milwaukee Coalition, comprised of Ascension, Rogers Behavioral Health and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. A Joint Task Force is conducting due diligence on the two remaining proposals, and is expected to make a recommendation to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Board in the fall of 2017.
