Minnesota Medicaid Moves To Terminate Its Housing Stabilization Program Due To Fraud Investigation
On August 1, 2025, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that it was terminating a Medicaid housing stabilization program that federal investigators flagged as a source of fraud. DHS stated that it notified the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that it planned to terminate the Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program and that it has begun working with CMS to take the required actions to end the housing stabilization services benefit as soon as possible.
