Minnesota To Help HCBS Employment Providers Phase-Out Subminimum Wages By 2024

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), Disability Services Division (DSD) is providing grants to help some provider organizations change their business models to phase out use of subminimum wages in employment programs for people with disabilities. The legislature has directed DHS to convene a task force that would develop a plan to phase out subminimum wage, and may in the future direct DHS to completely end use of subminimum wage.
