Mississippi Freezes Medicaid Provider Organization Reimbursement Rates
Effective July 1, 2021, the Mississippi Medicaid program froze most provider organization reimbursement rates at the 2020 level. The freeze was a provision of Senate Bill 2799, the 2021 Medicaid Technical amendments bill. The freeze will remain in effect until the state legislature authorizes rate adjustments. The state legislature reviews the structure and operation of the Division of Medicaid every three years.
