Mississippi Medicaid Requires MCOs To Adopt Uniform Credentialing For Provider Organizations
The Mississippi Medicaid program will require the state’s Medicaid managed care organizations (MCO) to adopt a uniform credentialing process by December 1, 2021. Under this process, all professionals and provider organizations who meet the criteria for credentialing will be credentialed with all MCOs in the Mississippi Coordinated Access Network (MississippiCAN) program. These contracts are currently held by Magnolia Health, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Mississippi, Inc. and Molina Healthcare of Mississippi, Inc.
