Molina Healthcare of New Mexico is expanding its jail-release care coordination efforts after a successful pilot program launched in Bernalillo County, demonstrated success in helping inmates access their Medicaid benefits and connect with other important resources before being released from jail. Molina now offers the care coordination intervention via telephone at all 27 detention centers in the state. Molina Healthcare of New Mexico is one of the state’s Medicaid managed care plans for its Centennial Care program; Molina’s plan has approximately 220,000 Medicaid members.
