Molina To Join Idaho’s Medicare-Medicaid Coordinated Plan

In July 2017, the Idaho Medicaid program confirmed that it had contracted with Molina Healthcare to offer a Medicare Medicaid Coordinated Plan (MMCP) starting January 1, 2018. As of that date, state residents eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligibles) will have a choice of plans: the existing plan offered by Blue Cross of Idaho and the new plan to be offered by Molina Healthcare.

Blue Cross of Idaho is currently the only health plan that administers the MMCP. However, Idaho Medicaid has an “any-willing” approach to contracting for the MMCP, and would consider contracting with any health . . .
