Montana Developmental Center Reports 19 Residents Remain Prior To Closure

As of March 19, 2018, 19 residents remain at MDC, a progress in the facility's closure activities. Twelve of these residents reside in MDC's intensive behavior center (IBC) that houses those with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors that include abuse or violence. Of the current 19 residents, 16 were placed at MDC through civil commitments; five remain at MDC voluntarily because their civil commitment orders had expired. The facility's estimated closure date is June 30, 2019.
