Montana Launches Child & Family Services ECHO For Complex Child Protection & Trauma Cases

On March 22, 2018, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) announced it was collaborating with Billings Clinic and the University of Montana on an initiative to provide telehealth consultations for complex child protection cases, particularly those in which children have experienced extreme trauma. The initiative is called Child and Family Services ECHO; it is an adaptation of Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) a video-based teleconsultation program for health care professionals.
