Montana Transferring Residents Of Montana Developmental Center In Preparation For Facility Closing

As of April 25, 2016, Montana has transferred six residents of the Montana Developmental Center to community placements and supportive services. Another 13 are slated to transfer during May 2016. This is in anticipation of the closure of MDC by  mid-2017.

On April 27, 2016, the MDC Transition Planning Advisory Council reviewed the state Department of Public and Health and Human Services (DPHHS) preparations for transferring residents and closing the center by mid-2017 as directed by a state law signed in May 2015.
