MOVIA Brings New Robot Assistants For Children With Autism To Market
On December 6, 2021, MOVIA Robotics, Inc. (MOVIA) announced it registered its TheraPal line of robot-assisted intervention (RAI) with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a first step toward gaining FDA marketing clearance for the RAI devices as a digital therapeutic system for use with children with autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). The line includes the TheraPal Progress Tracker, TheraPal Home, and TheraPal Clinical Assist Aides. The robots are designed to help children with autism and I/DD improve their social and emotional development.
