Nationwide Prevalence Of Stroke Up 7.8% Over 10 Years
The overall self-reported stroke prevalence nationwide increased by 7.8% between 2011 and 2022 according to data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). During the 2011-2013 collection period, stroke prevalence was 2.7%. In the 2020-2022 collection period, stroke prevalence was 2.9%. There were no significant changes in stroke prevalence during COVID-19 compared to the years before COVID-19.
