Nearly Half Of CCBHCs Offer 911 Police Co-Response Models
Nearly half (48.5%) of certified community behavioral health clinics (CCBHCs) have a co-response arrangement with police in which the CCBHC sends a behavioral health professional to join a police or emergency medical services (EMS) team on 911 calls for behavioral health crisis. One-third of CCBHCs have a 911 referral partnership, in which the CCBHC sends a team of behavioral health professionals to respond to 911 emergency calls without any police presence.
