Nearly Half Of Those Enrolled In New York’s I/DD Self-Direction Model Switched Care Managers More Than Once In The Past Two Years
Of those enrolled in New York’s Self-Direction model for people with intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD), 44% reported switching care managers more than once in the past two years, according to a recent assessment of the model operated by the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). The model enables individuals with I/DD to manage their own services when possible.
