Saint Francis Ministries Awarded Nebraska Privatized Child Welfare Contract; Incumbent PromiseShip Submits Protest

On June 3, 2019, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) filed an intent to offer a contract to Saint Francis Ministries to provide ongoing child welfare case management services in the Eastern Service Area (ESA), comprised of Douglas and Sarpy counties. The five-year contract is valued at approximately $196 million, and includes the option of two additional years. The contract is slated to begin on January 1, 2020.
