Nebraska Medicaid Issues New RFP For Managed Care Plans; Behavioral Heath Carve-Out Affected

On October 21, 2015, the Nebraska Medicaid program released a request for proposals (RFP 5151Z1) seeking managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide integrated physical and behavioral health services for the state’s Heritage Health managed care program. The contracts will affect the state's current behavioral health carve-out. The selected MCOs would receive a capitated rate and would be at full risk for providing all Medicaid physical health, behavioral health, and pharmacy services for the estimated 229,219 Medicaid beneficiaries in Nebraska.
