Nevada Rebids Medicaid Managed Care Contracts
The State of Nevada is rebidding its Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts that operate in Clark and Washoe counties. The MCOs will be responsible for providing integrated medical, behavioral, pharmacy, and case management for members with clinical and behavioral health conditions or other complex conditions. The new contracts will run from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2025, with a possible two-year extension. The state is considering carving the pharmacy benefit out of the contract during the contract term. However, this change has not yet been approved by the legislature.
