New Federal Legislation Streamlines Out-Of-State Medicaid Enrollment For Pediatric Provider Organizations
Federal legislation signed on February 3, 2026, as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 funding package will streamline Medicaid enrollment processes for out-of-state pediatric provider organizations treating children with complex medical conditions. The legislation, the Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act, is intended to reduce administrative barriers that can delay access to specialized care across state lines. States must implement the new enrollment processes by 2029.
