New Hampshire Medicaid Waiver Includes New Behavioral Health Benefits
New Hampshire Medicaid is seeking a 1115 waiver to support the comprehensive reform of its Medicaid program; the waiver will include improvements to the delivery of mental health, physical health, substance use disorder (SUD), oral health, and population health programs and services. Specifically, the waiver adds new Medicaid behavioral health services:
- Addiction treatment for the New Hampshire Health Protection Program, the state's Medicaid expansion program
- Expansion of the current InSHAPE health promotion program for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) to new provider organizations and participants and include a tobacco cessation component
