New Illinois Law Requires I/DD Congregate Care & Provider Organizations To Disclose Ownership By Asset Management Companies

A new Illinois law, House Bill (HB) 4728, requires congregate care facilities and provider organizations serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) to disclose ownership by an asset management company or a pending sale to one. These types of provider organizations will be required to report ownership-related business and financial information to the Health Facilities and Services Review Board. Illinois' Governor JB Pritzker's announcement of the legislation describes HB 4728 as "increasing transparency and accountability for congregate care facilities serving people with developmental disabilities."
