New Jersey Medicaid FFS Nursing Home Rates 18% Below Actual Cost
The fee-for-service (FFS) Medicaid rates paid to New Jersey nursing homes were about 18% below the actual cost of care in 2017. The average per person daily cost was $255.76. The state reimbursement was $208.64. The shortfall for nursing homes with Medicaid residents amounted to $416 million.
