New Jersey Medicaid Moving Behavioral Health To Fee-For-Service Starting January 1
New Jersey is preparing to move Medicaid behavioral health services from grant funding to fee-for-service (FFS) rates on January 1, 2017. Provider organizations were given the choice of transitioning to FFS on January 1 or waiting until July 1, 2017. By August 15, 2016, they informed the state of their transition date choice. This shift was part of the state’s Comprehensive Medicaid Waiver, which was formally proposed in 2011 and approved in October 2012.
